On behalf of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and the Estonian Trade Union Confederation (EAKL), we warmly congratulate Nicolas Schmit on his election as President of the European Foundation for Progressive Studies (FEPS). At a time when social cohesion, democracy and workers’ rights are under increasing pressure, strong cooperation between trade unions, progressive forces and think tanks such as FEPS is more important than ever. We look forward to working closely together to promote a fairer and more social Europe.
