No agreement on the minimum wage at the second meeting

31.10.2025

Negotiations between the Estonian Confederation of Trade Unions and the Confederation of Estonian Employers on next year's minimum wage continued today, 31 October, but no agreement has been reached yet. Negotiations will resume on 24 November.

At today's meeting, they discussed how businesses and workers are coping in a protracted economic downturn, as well as the outlook for economic and wage growth in the year ahead.

The minimum wage is agreed every autumn by the Estonian Confederation of Trade Unions and the Confederation of Estonian Employers. The agreement is based on a goodwill agreement signed in 2023 and Eesti Pank's latest economic forecast. Once the parties have reached an agreement, the government will approve it.

This year, the minimum wage for full-time work in Estonia is €886 per month.

The Estonian Trade Union Confederation unites 14 trade unions, protecting workers' rights and creating fairer working conditions throughout Estonia.
