The Estonian Confederation of Trade Unions (EAKL) has an important role to play in raising the minimum wage, increasing social equality and supporting employment in Estonia. To this end, it represents workers' interests in the preparation of new laws and reforms, negotiates the minimum wage with the Estonian Employers' Confederation every year, speaks out in public and, if necessary, organises actions to defend workers' rights.
