Social partners start talks on collective agreement for bus drivers

The social partners (the Transport and Road Workers' Union and the Union of Automobile Companies) will start negotiations on the current... Passenger transport general working agreement (13.04.2020-31.12.2026), partially amending the salary conditions and the working and rest time conditions.

In accordance with the Collective Agreement Act, the social partners inform employers and workers involved in passenger transport that they intend to apply for an extension of the collective agreement as regards the future wage conditions and working and rest time conditions.

The proposed scope of the condition to be extended is:

(a) to extend the minimum rates of pay and partially modify the conditions of working time and rest periods for workers who fulfil both of the following conditions:
1) employees of employers providing bus transport services under public service contracts and hiring out labour for this purpose within the meaning of the Public Transport Act, irrespective of the type of contract concluded with them, including bus drivers working under public service contracts;
(2) be employed in the performance of a public service contract for which the employer has the right to submit a tender after
General Arrangement the entry into force of the minimum monthly fee referred to in Article 9 of Appendix 1.

b) to change the minimum wage and partly the working and rest time conditions (13.04.2020). Passenger transport General Arrangement Annex 1 and its amendments) to employers and their employees engaged in the carriage of passengers by coach and bus within the meaning of the Public Transport Act (on the basis of a Community licence, a route licence and a public service contract) and hiring out workers for this purpose, irrespective of the type of contract concluded with them.

c) The expected date of entry into force of the extended conditions is 1 January 2027.
