General Regulation
The volume of training courses organised by the Estonian Trade Union Confederation (EAKL) varies, from two hours to a 2-year training course based on the training curriculum for trade union stewards (curriculum volume 80 hours, 10-16 hours per training cycle). Information on the training courses can be found on the EAKL website (www.eakl.ee/koolitus).
The courses are measured in academic hours, one academic hour is 45 minutes.
Learning environment
The trainings will take place in the EAKL conference centre at Laulupeo 24 Tallinn, where all the technical equipment needed for the training is available.
If another venue is agreed, it must be similarly equipped. For more details, see the training brochure on the EAKL website and the call for training.
Registration for training, reception and payment
Trade union membership of an EAKL branch is required to participate in EAKL training. EAKL is also entitled to admit only individual participants who do not intend to follow the entire training programme to the training courses in the training programme for the training of further training for trustees.
If previous experience or work experience is required for a particular job, this is indicated in the training description.
You can register for training by filling in the registration form in the EAKL information system, by e-mail or by phone (we will confirm your acceptance by e-mail).
If the training is partly paid for by the EAKL branch whose member is attending the training, the branch will be notified of the payment deadline and the necessary payment details at the same time as the registration for the training. VAT is not added to our training fees.
Withdrawal from training
Withdrawal from the training must be notified to the ECML without delay. If the training is cancelled less than 48 hours before the start of the training, or if the training has already started, the branch will not be refunded the training fee.
Completion of training
Upon request, the trainee will be issued with an EAKL certificate or attestation of completion. The certificate is issued to the trainee who has achieved the objectives described in the learning outcomes. A certificate will be issued to participants who do not achieve the objectives described in the learning outcomes. A certificate shall also be issued to a participant whose achievement of the learning outcomes was not assessed during the training. The same applies to courses of less than 6 hours.
Certificates and certificates will be issued retrospectively and certificates and certificates not withdrawn will be kept for 3 years.
Changes to the curriculum
The EAKL reserves the right to make changes to the study plan. In the event of a cancellation, those who have registered will be informed immediately.
Dispute settlement procedure
In order to contest decisions relating to the organisation of studies, the contesting party has the right to apply in writing to the EAKL. The appeal will be examined and the student will be informed of the decision within five working days. In case of disagreement with the decision, the applicant has the right to appeal to the Administrative Court of the Republic of Estonia.
- The EAKL office (Laulupeo 24, Tallinn) is open for business Monday to Friday 9-17.
- The Estonian Education Information System contains the economic activity report of the training centre.
- Teaching takes place in study groups.
