The Estonian Trade Union Confederation invites trade union members to the summer school “Chicago 1933”, which will take place at the Nelijärve Holiday Centre from 3 to 5 July.

The theme of the summer school is inspired by important events in the American labour movement. The focus is on how trade unions can better represent their members in changing circumstances and adapt to the challenges of the future of work. The first two days will feature thematic discussions that provide practical knowledge, focusing on better use of collective bargaining opportunities, trade union renewal, social media opportunities and sustainable work in the future.

Group discussions will be led by EAKL employees and trade union leaders. The training will be held in Estonian, with support in Russian provided if necessary.

Trade unions are asked to notify their wish to participate by 15 June at the latest at: eakl@eakl.ee.
