Trade Union Calls Supporters to Donate to Rakvere Workers Strike Fund

24.01.2018

Estonian Industrial and Metal Workers' Federation (IMTAL) created a strike fund to cover the costs of the strike and calls for all the supporters to contribute to the success of the strike. The fund is meant to support the families of strikers as strikers do not get paid for the time of the strike.

Estonian Trade Union Confederation's union secretary Artjom Arhangelski said that the strike starting on February 6-th is announced to last as long as an agreement with the employer has been reached. As the duration of the strike is not known, it is difficult to establish exact costs of the action.

International bank account number (IBAN) for the fund is EE162200221068524734, Bank Identification Code (BIC) is HABAEE2X and the account holder is IMTAL.
